About Me

My teaching is a flowing vinyasa style, incorporating sun salutations and creative sequencing to encourage a moving meditative practice. Breath awareness and alignment cues are an important aspect of my classes, to enable students to tune into their bodies and enjoy a safe and fulfilling practice.

I attended my first ever yoga class in 1998, initially practising Iyengar yoga which proved to be a useful foundation from which to explore other styles of yoga.  I enjoyed the strict alignment cues and attention to detail, whilst holding the poses – they were a little reminiscent of the ballet lessons that I took as a child! Later on, I discovered Ashtanga Vinyasa and the flow of movement with breath, as well as the strength-building aspect of the practice, really resonated with me.

Over the years, I have developed my own personal yoga practice and relish that sacred time on my mat each day.

I am an experienced yoga teacher, certified by Yoga Alliance, having trained with Yogacampus in London.  I have undertaken further training with Vicky Fox to specialise in teaching Yoga for Cancer and with David Swenson to teach Ashtanga Primary Series. I continue to develop my learning through attending regular classes with my own inspirational teachers, as well as workshops with international teachers such as Jason Crandell and David Keil, topped up by my voracious appetite for reading yoga books and listening to my favourite yoga podcasts.

I am a fully qualified Yoga Therapist having studied with Yogacampus and True Yoga.
